5th Responsible Management Education Research Conference
November 12th – 13th 2018 in Cologne (Germany)
PRME Regional Chapter DACH invites you to attend and contribute to the conference on: Leadership Development for Advancing the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. The conference is co-organized by PRME Secretariat, PRME Anti-poverty Working Group, PRME Regional Chapters and the Center for Advanced Sustainable Management at Cologne Business School (CBS). The aim of the conference is to discuss how research and the management education community, in collaboration with businesses, policy makers, NGOs, youth, media, and other stakeholders could best support the ongoing flagship initiatives of the UN Global Compact and PRME that focus on responsible leadership development for advancing the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The following questions will be addressed: How can we ensure that this research agenda fulfills the demands of academic rigor on the one hand and high relevance for management educators, business practitioners and policy makers involved in the implementation of the SDGs on the other hand? Which learning/ teaching innovations are needed to bring new research outputs into the classroom and enhance the educational excellence and relevance? How could all this contribute to the development of a responsible leadership mindset which would enable management educators and business practitioners to act as change agents that create a meaningful and measurable impact on advancing the SDGs?
About the Program
The program will include exciting formats such as keynote speeches, panel sessions, round tables, parallel sessions and other forms of interactive discussions. A traditional feature of RME Research Conferences is the open co-design format. PRME Working Groups, PRME Regional Chapters, PRME Champion Group, other stakeholders and the PRME research community are invited to submit suggestions via the Call for Contributions (due February 2018).
Therefore, we invite you to propose conference topics and sessions that contribute to the research agenda and answer the key questions. Information on where to submit topic and session suggestions will follow shortly on this website.
