Haifeng Huang obtained his PhD in transitional economics at the Humboldt University of Berlin, and holds a master’s degrees in economics from both the Johns Hopkins University-Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies and the School of Economics at Peking University. Professor Huang is currently the Director of Peking University HSBC Business School’s Center for Green Economy, a pioneering think-tank focusing on sustainable development in China. In addition to his role at the Center, he serves as the Assistant Dean for International Relations at Peking University HSBC Business School. Since 2008, he has been the Executive Director in the Ecological Development Union International and has sat member of the Ministry of Land and Resources’ supervisory committee. Additionally, Professor Huang serves on international jury of the European Sustainable Entrepreneurship Award.
